Alentejo, where roots are deep and time runs slower

The land undulates in front of us, all the way to the edge of the horizon, like a sea of grass and wheat crops, punctuated with cork oak trees that provide much-needed shade. Alentejo is also the Atlantic Ocean, with large stretches of sand and also small bays with clear water, a mecca for surfers and adventurers searching for pure Nature and isolation from the busy world around us. Said to be the best-kept secret of Europe, with a much slower pace of life, it has maintained its identity and also the craftsmanship of millennia is very much alive, from culinary delights handed down from great-grandmothers to the clay tile production descendent from the moors, here we can see and experience all of this and falling in love is inevitable! I am biased because this is where my heart firmly resides!
